David Fowler [structural engineering - consultancy]

David, who is married to Daphne, retired in 2003 from the civil and structural engineering practice of which he was senior partner. He is a fellow of the Institution of Structural Engineers and past chair of its local branch.

He also has been a member of the UK-based Association of Consulting Engineers and the French Society of Scientific Engineers.

He was chair of his village investment club and is a member of the local history group.

A Rotarian since 1984, David is a member of the Rotary Club of Edgbaston Convention. He has served RIBI as vice president elect and RI as district governor, committee and task force member, literacy resource group general coordinator (2 years), Institute chair ( four times), and RI training leader (2 years).

He also has been a Council on Legislation representative (four times), club charter president, RIBI and district conference chair.
